MDG believes in the philosophy of being transparent in thinking and planning. We ensure that the best options are identified and incorporated into the project, taking it from concept to completion without compromising quality, safety or service. We strive for continual improvement through innovation, analysis of our work practices, training and education.
SAFETY
Safety isn’t just a department, it’s a value that guides MDG’s operations at all levels and it will not be compromised. On our projects, safety comes first because frankly we feel it’s the most important thing we do.
MDG has an ongoing commitment to safety and achieving the only acceptable goal of zero incidents through training education, behavior modification and continual improvement. We take a proactive approach to safety which starts in the pre-construction phase and progresses to our site-specific plan. Our culture of safety begins with ownership and leading by example to embed a collaborative effort among all project team members and workers.
Our safety management program includes comprehensive safety policies, safe work procedures and guidelines for performing work safely. At MDG we don’t just talk safety, we execute it – because simply, it’s the right thing to do.
Safety is No Accident.
QUALITY
Quality is integral to achieving our values of integrity, accountability, and excellence, which is why our Quality Management Program (QMP) includes continual performance checks and testing throughout every stage of construction. Our goal isn’t to just meet the specification requirements but to build with the highest quality possible.
Our QMP includes both Quality Assurance and Quality Control through process control testing, inspection and control procedures, subcontractor quality management, documentation reviews and reporting. It also involves an extensive turnover package complete with detailed material and equipment specifications and operations manuals as well as training facility management personnel in equipment operations.
ENVIRONMENT
At MDG environmental stewardship is our responsibility. We employ a systems approach to sustainable and green building that accounts for environmental considerations and energy efficiency in design and construction.
Our teams focus on how individual components in a building system interact and we identify options for energy efficiency throughout pre-construction and value engineering. We work to minimize the impact of our construction activities on the environment through waste reduction, conscientious use of water and energy, utilizing recycled and recyclable products where possible, minimizing site disturbances, preventing pollution, and ensuring environmental compliance.
